These retired, New Jersey homeowners love their kitchen but they wanted something a little more stylish and streamlined. Since cabinets comprise some of the largest visible square footage in the kitchen, we decided to start there.

Our clients were thrilled to learn refacing cabinetry costs roughly 50% less than building new, custom cabinets - but have all the same benefits. Going the refaced route conserved a precious percentage of the kitchen design budget, enabling them to splurge on upscale Cambria quartz countertops. We did it by utilizing smart cabinet storage (allowing countertop clutter to be neatly housed out of sight). Also, by selecting a bright backsplash tile, the room visibly opens - and the subway tile layout creates a linear illusion of longer walls and countertop spaces.
