Maple
Maple features a finely textured straight grain with several distinctive characteristics, including mineral streaks and curly grain patterns. This naturally luscious creamy to light reddish-brown wood is often used for cabinets.
Oak
Oaks are open-pored and produce dramatic grain patterns, dark mineral streaks and small pin knots. Their bold grain and subtle-to-rich color ranges provide the characteristics that make oak the most widely used hardwood.
Cherry
Luminous is the one word to best describe cherry. Its rich red highlights give the wood a distinctive appearance. Cherry wood will occasionally have tiny pin knots and very small, dark streaks.
Many natural characteristics present in wood may affect how stain is absorbed and cause mild color variations that will make your kitchen unique.
