Congressman Charlie Dent Visits Kitchen Magic Headquarters
October 26, 2011
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Congressman Dent who represents Pennsylvania’s 15th District (Lehigh, Northampton, Montgomery and Berks counties) was first sworn in to the United States House of Representatives in January 2005. He is a life-long Lehigh Valley resident, raised in Allentown. His father, the late Walter R. "Pete" Dent, was a Bethlehem Steel employee.
Kitchen Magic is a family owned and operated kitchen remodeling and refacing company, founded in 1979 in Allentown by Jost Fleck. Today the company serves customers throughout the Northeast and in addition to its refacing products, manufactures its own line of custom cabinetry.
Congressman Dent was interested in visiting Lehigh Valley businesses and the Nazareth Chamber of Commerce recommended Kitchen Magic. “Charlie is highly regarded both locally and in Washington by constituents and Colleagues on both sides of the aisle,” commented Tina Smith, President of the Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce. “People know and trust him, he has always been part of our community and works hard for the Lehigh Valley.” she added.
Kitchen Magic moved to Milford, NJ many years ago to be closer to where the company owners lived. But in 2009 when it came time to purchase a building for its offices and expanding manufacturing operations, Kitchen Magic looked back to their roots in Pennsylvania. Both the State of Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation were eager to help and instrumental in bringing Kitchen Magic ‘back home’ to the Lehigh Valley.
Charlie currently serves on two House committees, Appropriations and Ethics. Representing one of the top cement-producing Districts in the nation, Charlie also chairs the Congressional Cement Caucus and helps shape policy that impacts one of the Lehigh Valley’s most traditional and vibrant industries.
Brett Bacho, Kitchen Magic President, said, “We were very proud to share our new facility and operations with Congressman Dent and his Community Outreach Coordinator, Megan Everett. He was very generous with his time and we got the sense that he is very passionate and genuinely understands the policies needed to help business flourish.”
Bacho added, “Congressman Dent’s views and outlook were refreshing to us and give us hope for a better business climate for our country. We wish him much continued success.”
