kitchen remodeling award - chrysalis

Kitchen Magic, Inc., a family owned kitchen specialty company, has been awarded the distinction of national first place winner in the Qualified Remodeler Annual Chrysalis Award for a kitchen remodel under $40,000.

On June 11, 2008, James Mayers, Assistant VP for Kitchen Magic, attended the Southern Building Show in Atlanta to accept the award on behalf of his installation and production team.  “It is an honor for me to represent Kitchen Magic, regardless of the recognition.  But this is awesome!  Winning the National award makes that much more exciting for us. I’m just really proud of our team. We’ve got such talented people who do amazing work.”

Now in its 14th year, the Chrysalis Awards have honored the achievements of residential and commercial remodelers across the country. The 2008 Chrysalis Awards brought in 526 project entries from 215 companies. Ken Kanline, Director of the Awards commented, “To win an award in this highly competitive category is quite an achievement. Kitchen Magic clearly excelled in their category.”

The Chrysalis Awards’ judges include editors and writers of consumer publications such as Better Homes & Gardens, Woman’s Day, Southern Living Magazine and The American Institute of Building Design. The projects are judged on design, use of materials, use of space and integration into the existing space.

The winning kitchen entry was a complete kitchen remodel in Hillsborough, New Jersey.  The cabinetry chosen was all-new cherry wood, new doors, drawers, island, and new Zodiaq® quartz stone countertops in Argo Green.  The special accents of two-dimensional crown molding, custom glass cabinet doors and dramatic lighting achieved the desired upscale, sleek effect, yet still maintained the feel of a traditional design.

Kitchen Magic was founded by Jost and Reine Fleck in 1979, at a time when cabinet refacing was a little known or understood solution to an expensive, total kitchen remodel.  For three decades, the company has remained kitchen specialists, and over the years their products and services have expanded to include all-new custom cabinetry, now handcrafted in their Nazareth, PA factory and solid surface DuPont Corian®, Zodiaq® and Granite countertops.  The company’s service area has expanded as well. Today, Kitchen Magic’s team of kitchen experts provide a free, in-home kitchen consultation service throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Kitchen Magic also services parts of New Hampshire, Delaware and North Carolina.
